At Birmingham Museums Trust, I led the development of impactful events such as the annual 'International Women and Girls in Science Day,' emphasizing collaboration and community engagement. I was particularly drawn to this villa it because of the excavation of it, the hanging discs, and red columns.

Then, when I did a little research, I found out that the excavation of this house was the first ever full reconstruction of the timber rood of a Roman villa!

Lots of wooden furniture and other pieces have been found at the Herculaneum Ruins site.

Herculaeneum had been buried under numerous layers of volcanic material; 16m at least of mud and pyroclastic flow.

Part of the site was accidently discovered by a famer in 1709.
